About Tolar, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in northern Texas, Tolar is a city with a population of approximately 885 according to the United State Census Bureau. Tolar is positioned in Hood County. The county seat of Hood County is Granbury, which is located about 8 miles west of Tolar. Due to its close proximity to Granbury, Tolar is part of the Granbury Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Tolar, Texas is named in honor of Captain Alfred H. H. Tolar, a Confederate soldier who served in the Civil War. Before Tolar was founded, many individuals settled in the area already. Individuals were attracted to the area due to the fertile land. After the end of the Civil War and arrival of the railroad, Tolar began receiving regular mail delivery and experience significant growth.

Individuals visiting Tolar will quickly discover that although it is a small city, it is filled with charm and friendly people. There are many businesses located around Tolar that provide residents with a wonderful quality of life. Tolar is also home to a quaint downtown. This part of the city is characterized by historic buildings that transport people to an older time. Also, Tolar is located a short distance from the Brazos River and Lake Granbury. Both these provide individuals opportunities to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Tolar experiences very warm summers and cool winters. It is necessary for individuals to have cooling and heating systems installed in their homes. The months of June, July, and August experience daytime temperature highs that vary from low to mid-90s on average. When heat waves pass through the city, temperatures will climb well into the low-100s. During the winter months, temperatures vary from the mid-50s to low-60s. At night, temperatures will dip well below freezing. By having both heating and cooling systems installed, individuals help ensure they remain comfortable inside their homes throughout the changing seasons.
